Why B12 may be discussed
Injectable B12 may be considered only where a prescriber identifies a clinical need following appropriate history, examination, and, where relevant, investigation.
It is not a substitute for diagnosing or managing underlying medical conditions that may cause similar symptoms.
Injections are not appropriate for everyone. Factors such as deficiency status, absorption issues, medications, pregnancy, and wider health considerations all influence prescribing decisions.
Treatment approach
Where clinically appropriate, a single injection or a course of treatment may be discussed. The frequency and duration are determined by individual assessment and, where relevant, investigation results.
Treatment is always tailored, and recommendations may change depending on your response or updated clinical information.
Fees
The fee schedule sets out the initial medical aesthetic consultation fee where prescription-only medication pathways apply (including B12). Any treatment fee following prescriber assessment is confirmed before you proceed.
Risks and considerations
All injections carry some level of risk. Common effects may include temporary discomfort, redness, or irritation at the injection site. As with any medical treatment, individual response varies.
This page provides general information only and does not replace consultation with a qualified prescriber. Injectable B12 should not be sought without appropriate medical assessment.
